Saif R. Kasmikha, J.D., M.B.A. | Of Counsel

Saif R. Kasmikha serves as Of Counsel to Abboo & Associates PLLC and is an experienced civil litigator, mediator, and business advisor with substantial experience handling complex legal matters in Michigan and Illinois. His practice encompasses complex civil litigation, insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, healthcare law, and corporate and business matters.

Mr. Kasmikha brings particular depth in healthcare law and regulatory compliance, having represented physicians, hospitals, clinics, healthcare organizations, and other business entities in transactional, regulatory, reimbursement, and litigation matters. His experience includes HIPAA compliance, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute issues, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, fraud, waste and abuse matters, physician recruitment, healthcare contracting, and strategic business counseling. He has also advised healthcare organizations regarding compliance and risk management and has previously served in senior healthcare compliance roles.

In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Kasmikha has extensive experience advising businesses on entity formation, operating agreements, acquisitions, purchase and buy-sell agreements, commercial contracts, financing arrangements, and other corporate matters. He has also taught graduate-level health law courses as an adjunct professor at the University of Detroit Mercy.
